The Parkbury is a warm, friendly hotel conveniently located only a few minutes from Sandown's busy centre, seafront promenade and leisure centre. Throughout the hotel, extensive use has been made of wood paneling and marquetry recovered from the R.M.S. Aquitania, the last of the 4 funnel ocean liners. Long established with an informal relaxed relaxed atmosphere, heated swimming pool, licensed bar, free Wi-Fi, air conditioned bedrooms and parking. Children over 12 years old welcome. Oaklands@Yarbridge sits at the foot of the scenic Brading Downs on the Isle of Wight, making it ideal for both walkers and cyclists. The heated swimming pool (June to September) is open most days from 14:00 to dusk. The friendly village pub, The Yarbridge Inn, is just across the road. Walk just a few more metres for fishing on the River Yar. Oaklands was featured in the April 2006 Sunday Mirror article 'The Best of British at Bargain Prices'.
