The hotel was built around a 19th century theatre-villa in historic centre and it offers 24 rooms and suites with a host of services including hydro-massage, and sauna on request.

At the end of 1800s, the theatre was transformed into a splendid villa where some of the most important figures of the European aristocracy of the time spent unforgettable days. Guest to have sojourned here include Queen Victoria of Britain, the Empress of India, the Queens of the Netherlands, King Leopold of Belgium and Queen Margherita of Savoy of the Kingdom of Italy, amongst others. The breathtaking views enjoyed from the terraces of hotel Villa Aurora and which extend over Florence and the Arno valley inspired painters, poets and musicians including Gabriele D’Annunzio and Giosuè Carducci.
Still today, this prestigious past is alive, and although the hotel has been internally renovated and enhanced with every modern comfort, Hotel Villa Aurora continues to offer its guests that same welcoming but refined atmosphere for which it became famous.
Today in Villa Aurora there are 24 rooms, standard and royal or suites, these last with the most magnificent view over Florence. In addition to the listed amenities some rooms have a jacuzzi.
