Peterstone Court Country House Restaurant & Spa
Rooms From: £90
Situated in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Peterstone Court is avant-garde and distinctive in its style; loyal to its Georgian heritage but with a contemporary twist.
The approach to food is simple and honest: 90% of the meat and poultry served at the restaurant comes from Peterstone Court's nearby family farm. This means you'll know exactly what the animals have been fed throughout their life, and the owners hope that this will also reduce Peterstone Court's carbon footprint and lessen its impact on the environment. The food is always seasonal and sustainable, using fresh, organic and home-reared ingredients wherever possible.
The spa uses only natural, organic products, a philosophy which has filtered down from the main house. On offer is Ytsara™, from Thailand, and Circaroma™, an award winning contemporary range (certified by the Soil Association).
All the rooms are large, light and spacious.
Built in 1741, there has in fact always been a dwelling on the site of Peterstone Court since the 14th century.
A full Welsh breakfast is served to you each morning, and has received 1st prize in the "Best Welsh Breakfast Competition", organised by the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Mid-Wales Tourism Partnership. The hotel's kitchen team were also the winner of "Gold Standard Dining Out 2005" (by "True Tastes in Wales"), as well as coming 3rd in the Welsh International Culinary Championships. Ingredients are sourced directly from the hotel's own farm, just 11 km (7 miles) away.
The hotel was also placed in the "Top 10 Romantic Wedding Locations in the UK" by Tiara magazine, winning the "Georgian Splendour" category.
