Located in a tree-lined avenue overlooking a park (ideal for joggers!), the Daylesford is a few minutes' walk from the newly refurbished Torre Abbey, sea front, Riviera International Conference Centre and within easy walking distance from town and Cockington Country Park.

Directions

The hotel is within walking distance of the town centre and shopping areas, and is close to the station. When entering the outskirts of Torquay from the direction of Exeter and Newton Abbott, look out for a Halfords sign at a traffic light junction. In front you will see a sign for Cockington Country Park, directing you to the right fork, heading down Avenue Road. At the next set of lights, drive straight on for a few hundred metres until you see another sign for Cockington. Bampfylde Road is immediately on the left, past this sign. The hotel is a few metres up on the right. Should you be arriving by train, exit via the station's front entrance, turn left, and follow the road around to the right until you reach the traffic lights. Turn left into Avenue Road. Bampfylde Road is a couple of hundred metres on the right.

Local Attractions
Michelin Stars in Torquay!
Personal recommendations: The Hole in the Wall, Number 7 seafood bistro, The Elephant (Michelin Star) around 15 for 2 course special! Orange Tree, The Vanilla Pod, and the nearby Ocean Drive will ensure an enjoyable experience.

Cockington Country Park
Set in 300 hundred year old ornamental gardens and lakes, Cockington has a beautiful thatched village, a 1000 year old church, manor house, a fine Lutyens designed pub/restaurant.

Totnes
Totnes is one of ten 'funkiest' towns in the world. With its Elizabethan buildings, eclectic shops and laid-back lifestyles, this South Hams gem is a must. Bohemian Totnes is a very short drive from the Daylesford, through beautiful countryside.

Dartmouth
Splendid old town with wonderful harbour, shops & restaurants. Access via boat from Torquay, or half an hour's drive from the hotel. The Michelin Star 'New Angel' restaurant is a must for food lovers. The Cherub Inn is quintessentially English.
