Local Attractions
Covent of the Bernardines
It hosts 2 museums. The convent's chapel is the site of the Musée d'Arts Sacrés, devoted to art from regional churches, and the convent's cloister contains the Musée de la Vie Bourguignonne.

Palais des Ducs et des Etats de Bourgogne
Capped with an elaborate tile roof, it's a complex arranged around a trio of courtyards. The oldest section, only part of which you can visit, is the Ancien Palais des Ducs de Bourgogne, erected in the 12th century and rebuilt in the 14th.

Fine Arts Museum
It boasts exceptional sculpture, ducal kitchens from the mid-1400s (with great chimney pieces), a collection of European paintings from the 14th to the 19th centuries, and modern French paintings and sculptures.

Magnin Museum
Built in the 19th century as the home of an arts-conscious member of the grande bourgeoisie, this house was willed, along with its contents, to the city of Dijon as a museum following the death of the family's last descendant.
