Our Hôtel du Plat d'Etain is a charming 2 star hotel, in the city centre of Poitiers. We are located at the back of the theatre (close to the pedestrian avenue) and only 3 minutes from the train station.

Our spacious 22 bedrooms are fully equipped, en-suite (2 rooms are with a sink only) and boast a warm and charming decor. Poitiers is rich in history with its Romanesque churches, half-timbered houses and ancient market place, dominated by the cathedral 'Notre-Dame'. Just a 10 minute drive from the city centre we arrive at what is the region's largest tourist attraction. The Futuroscope is Europe's greatest image theme park.

Notre-Dame-la-Grande Poitiers
Not particularly big, but this is one of France's most important Romanesque churches. Inside an original fresco on the choir ceiling depicts Christ in glory, the Virgin and Child, and the Lamb of God in a cruciform.
