Posada La Pastora (Town: Uncastillo)

Rooms from: £45
This grand old village house, dating back from the 18th century, has been completely renovated by Inma and Miguel, its actual owners. The inn lies behind the Romanesque church of Santa María matching the old historical and monumental village of Uncastillo, a little jewel. The main entrance exhibits a stone floor which resembles the one at the neighbouring Santa María square. At the ground floor you can find the dinning room, furnished with ceramic and wood tables where breakfast is served in front of a roaring log fire, do not miss the local cakes. There is also a cosy lounge with beam above and terracotta beneath. Walls leave a leading role to the old stone which stands out against the rest of the wall painted in pastel colour. The rooms are named after a church of the village. We have to highlight that despite being small they are tastefully decorated: wrought-iron headboard, matching prints, dried flowers, antique washbasin, equipped with television and music and painted ones in blue, red and others in green. Owners hospitality is remarkable. For Romanesque lovers this is place where to set off. Only in the village there are 6 Romanesque churches and a castle from the 12th century.
